Fisher’s Choice canned baits go through a retortion, or sterilization process that technically ‘cooks’ the bait without cooking it; this results in a texture that remains soft but slightly more firm than live bait. This allows for enhanced durability when fishing, more casts, and, in the case of crickets, more whole crickets and less broken off cricket legs.
Conveniently packaged, you can keep them on the shelf for up to 2 years, ready to use whenever the fish are biting. The baits are good for up to two weeks after opening.
